Parmele Park Splashpad – City of Moore, OK

In May 2014, just one year after another devastating tornado hit the City of Moore, the Parks and Recreation department held the grand opening for the Parmele Park Splashpad. The City was rebuilding and this Splashpad project was an exciting new addition for the community.  Local elementary students helped select the forest and nature Splashpad theme which includes giant water leaves and trees, colorful cattails, interactive wolf, mountain lion and bear cannons, dumping flowers, bullfrog, spider spray and a custom rattlesnake and mushrooms for the toddlers.  Tan integrally colored concrete was used on much of the pad to resemble the forest, while a dark brown walking path leads to a blue pond.
