Multiple Donations Helps Tecumseh Open their First Splashpad
The City of Tecumseh opened up their first Splashpad at Slick Humphrey Park in the summer of 2016. This 5,280 sq. ft. Splashpad was made possible with help from an Avedis Foundation grant and a donation from the Tecumseh Rotary Club. The City of Tecumseh worked with Power Play to design the Splashpad and utilized the National Purchasing Partners (NPP), a cooperative purchasing organization, to avoid the bidding process, saving time and money. This colorful Splashpad features 18 different above ground water features including the exciting Super Splash as the focal point. Kids love the anticipation as they wait for the giant bucket to dump. The Splashpad features a nature and animal theme with refreshing leaves and rainbow, dumping flower, interactive water bloom, a 9ft Frog, Turtle, Zebra, Elephant and Monkey water cannons and a cute Snail that kids love to rotate and climb on. The Splashpad also includes 24 ground sprays for a serious soaking. Site amenities included Shades, Tables, Benches and Trash Receptacles.
